Pitcher at

Bates College

Haley Alden is a dedicated and passionate softball player and coach who began her pitching journey at the age of 10 and never looked back. A graduate of Phillips Exeter High School, she was a two-year captain and standout varsity pitcher, known for her leadership on and off the field. Currently competing at the NCAA Division III level as a pitcher for Bates College, Haley continues to sharpen her craft while balancing the demands of college academics and athletics. She brings intensity, focus, and a deep love for the game every time she steps onto the field. Beyond her own playing career, Haley is equally committed to mentoring the next generation of softball players. Since 2022, she has been providing private pitching instruction to athletes ages 8–13, entering her third year of helping young pitchers develop confidence, mechanics, and an understanding of how to use their unique strengths to succeed on the mound. She served as an assistant coach for a 10U team last season and is currently an assistant coach for the 12U Prospects Vachon team during the summer season. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes body awareness, mechanics, and mental toughness, especially as players begin to explore advanced pitching concepts. As a former player for the 18U Prospects during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Haley specializes in spin pitches, including the curve, screwball, and rise. Once a pitcher has solid command of their fastball and changeup, she’s excited to introduce these more advanced pitches, turning challenges into opportunities for growth. With a deep passion for the game and a commitment to teaching, Haley continues to make a positive impact both on the mound and in the lives of younger athletes.
